Mothers Day
Happy Mothers Day everyone! Sorry I haven't been able to post for a long time. Today is the day that we celebrate our Mothers. They have loved us, cared for us, and taught us our whole lives. There is something about women that unite us together. We all have divine qualities that we can develop, and teach to our future, and present children. Here is a video on motherhood and the divine capabilities that we have been blessed with. Elder D. Todd Christofferson stated, "Women bring with them into the world a certain virtue, a divine gift
that makes them adept at instilling such qualities as faith, courage,
empathy, and refinement in relationships and in cultures." We have the divine ability to love and have empathy for others. Let us use this gift to bless the lives of others. We have been called to a sacred duty, to be the ones who care, love, clean, dry tears, solve problems, and have charity for those around us. From the talk, The Moral Force of Women, "You don’t have to be perfect; I don’t claim that you are. What I mean to say is that whether you are single
or married, whether you have borne children or not, whether you are
old, young, or in between, your moral authority is vital, and perhaps we
have begun to take it and you for granted. Certainly there are trends
and forces at work that would weaken and even eliminate your influence,
to the great detriment of individuals, families, and society at large.
Let me mention three as a caution and a warning." We cannot let the dark things of this world pull us out of our virtuous callings to be mothers. I strongly encourage you to pray daily, and strive to develop patience, acceptance, and charity for not only your friends and family members, but for those around you that cause you pain. I hope that we can all unite together as women, and fulfill the role we have been called. Please be supportive of your children, and love them with all of your heart. It is up to us to guide them along the right path. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!!
